Overview:

We are seeking a physically fit and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Telecommunications Tower Climber. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing wireless communication equipment on towers and other elevated structures. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, has general construction knowledge and is willing to learn. An applicant who is knowledgeable in telecom systems and committed to safety protocols is a plus. All required training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Climb towers (up to 500 feet) and elevated structures to install, inspect, and maintain antennas, radios, and cabling. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on telecommunications equipment. Conduct signal testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance. Document/photograph work performed including inspections, repairs, and installations. Follow OSHA and company safety regulations, including proper use of fall protection and climbing gear.

Work Conditions:

Outdoor work at significant heights. Exposure to varying weather conditions. Physically demanding tasks include lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Operate rigging equipment, hoists, winches, and testing instruments. Travel to various job sites, often requiring weekly/overnight stays. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Skills:

Proficiency with hand tools and climbing equipment (preferred). Basic understanding of electrical systems and telecommunications technology preferred but not required. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing environments.

Qualifications:

Technical training or certifications are preferred but not required. Prior experience in tower climbing or related fieldwork is a plus but not required. Familiarity with RF systems, coax/fiber installation, and grounding techniques is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is preferred but not required. Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and physical assessment. Certifications such as ComTrain, OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, or NWSA TTT1/TTT2 are a plus. Willing to fully train the right individuals.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
