Our client, a leading telecommunications organization, is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join their team. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be part of the Central Office Support team supporting critical telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications transmission systems, including multiplexing equipment, copper, and fiber-optic technologies.
• Perform installation and maintenance of telephone lines, DSL, T1, Ethernet circuits, and Central Office (CO) equipment.
• Work with COSMIC and CDF frame wiring, connectors, protector frames, and cabling practices to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with analog and digital circuits, utilizing strong troubleshooting skills.
• Handle heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or aloft environments safely and efficiently.

What's Needed?

• Technical knowledge of telecommunications transmission systems, multiplexing equipment, copper, and fiber-optic technologies.
• Experience with installation and maintenance of telephone lines, DSL, T1, Ethernet circuits, and CO equipment.
• Familiarity with wiring practices such as COSMIC and CDF frame wiring, connectors, and cabling.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with both analog and digital circuits.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork abilities.
