Job Description

Primary Function
Perform tasks involving telecommunications installation at building construction projects. Work may be performed both indoors and outside. May clean and prepare construction sites, dig trenches, clean up rubble and debris, and operate hand and power tools of all types.
Typical Duties

• Placing, Testing, and Termination of ISP Fiber and CAT6a
• Pick up, collect, sort, and dispose of (or recycle) jobsite construction debris.
• Perform general construction cleaning activities including sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming floors, wiping down horizontal and vertical surfaces, and moving and organizing jobsite construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
• Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
• Perform additional assignments as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in Telecommunication Installation. Experience placing, testing, and terminating ISP Fiber and CAT6a. Knowledge of related machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. OSHA knowledge and understanding of safety requirements.

• Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
• Access to Federal Military Bases will be required.
• Employment will be contingent on applicant's ability to pass a security background screening vetted through several local and national data base systems for purpose of protecting U.S. government areas of responsibility and termination.
