Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Technician 1.

• Performs all levels of maintenance on UPS and other power systems equipment including, but not limited to inspection PM\'s, battery tests and replacements, load bank testing, etc.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose UPS equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Use of hand and power tools to build, modify and repair UPS and power systems.
• Under general direction, wiring of new and retrofit UPS power systems.
• Work at varying times both independently and as part of a team.
• Prepare equipment for dispatch to jobsites.
• Pulling / Preparing / Restocking of Orders - accurately prepare orders going out and track returning orders. Maintain general shop organization. Heavy lifting (50 pounds) is required.
• Cleanliness - Working neatly within immediate workspace or work area.
• Prepare service reports and other custom checklists during repair, maintenance, recondition and troubleshooting of power systems equipment.
• May be requested at times to travel to remote job sites for UPS equipment set up, operation and disassembly.
• Employee to provide basic mechanical and electrical hand tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeter, etc.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• 0-3 years of experience and/or familiarity with repairing and maintaining UPS and other power systems equipment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

• Electrical experience a plus
• Experience with AC/DC voltage a plus

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 25 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Base Pay Range: $17.26 - 23.35
