Long Description

Aksela's Field Technicians is responsible for repairing machines to customers' satisfaction in the field or customer location.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Conducts machine performance and diagnostic tests, interprets results, and independently determines the extent of necessary repairs. Inspects, diagnoses, troubleshoots, services, and repairs customer equipment in field environments. References and interprets service manuals, diagnostic software, and parts catalogs to identify malfunctions and verify repair specifications and required parts. Verifies warranty coverage for applicable parts and manages the return of core and remanufactured components. Performs failure analysis across all systems including engines, electrical, hydraulics, transmissions, power trains, brakes, steering, and electronic/computer applications. Utilizes troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and repair machine and attachment issues, adhering to Time Requirement Guidelines (TRG). Escalates unresolved problems to Service Manager for further support. Works in the field, shop, or at customer sites, which may include overtime and overnight assignments. Conducts business professionally, maintaining composure and integrity in high-pressure situations and presenting a professional image. Complies with all customer site requirements. Orders necessary parts for repairs, evaluates part reusability, and identifies causes of failure. Completes service reports, time entries, and other documentation on a laptop, submitting them daily via email. Adheres to all customer care standards. Follows all Aksela and customer-specific safety protocols, including contamination control and HAZMAT regulations. Properly uses equipment and materials, attends required safety meetings and maintains tools per MSHA and OSHA standards.
