Prodrive Technologies is a trusted leader in precision PCB manufacturing and assembly. Our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) department is at the heart of producing dependable electronic assemblies that support industries ranging from medical technology to clean energy and automotive innovation.
We're looking for a skilled and motivated SMT Technician to become part of our expanding SMT team. In this role, you'll handle component preparation, machine setup and operation, and perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on cutting-edge SMT equipment. Your work will be essential in ensuring our printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) meet IPC standards and are delivered efficiently and on time
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and inspect components, load feeders, and organize materials for production
Efficiently set up and operate SMT machinery, including screen printers, pick-and-place systems, reflow ovens, and inspection tools
Conduct routine equipment maintenance and resolve basic technical issues
Adhere to established procedures and IPC quality standards throughout the assembly process
Promptly communicate equipment or process concerns to the Team Lead
Collaborate with the Production Team Leader and contribute to ongoing process improvements
Participate in cross-training to support team versatility and operational flexibility
Qualifications
:
High school diploma or equivalent
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Strong sense of accountability with excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
Comfortable using computers for daily operations and documentation
Enjoys hands-on work with tools, machinery, and technical equipment
Able to follow instructions precisely in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Clear and effective communicator in English, with a proactive and curious mindset
Passionate about technology and eager to grow professionally
Self-motivated, responsible, and driven to achieve results
Detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve
