Technical Operations Associate / Right-Hand to the CEO

-- someone who can think strategically, act decisively, and help drive execution across the business.

This is not a typical "assistant" role. You'll work directly with the founder and CEO on a wide variety of initiatives -- from operations and process improvements to quoting, project tracking, and strategic decision-making. You'll gain exposure to every function of the business and develop the leadership skills to one day run an organization of your own.

If you have an engineering or technical background but want to work on a more macro level -- solving business and operational challenges rather than just technical ones -- this role offers a front-row seat to learn, grow, and make an impact.

About the Role:

ZYCI is a rapidly growing precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace and defense industries. We're looking for a highly capable, detail-oriented, and curious individual to work directly with our founder and CEO. This is a unique opportunity to learn the business of advanced manufacturing from the inside -- from quoting and operations to customer relations and strategic decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone with a

mechanical or aerospace engineering background

who enjoys problem-solving and systems thinking but prefers working across disciplines rather than being behind a CAD screen all day.

What You'll Do:

Partner directly with the CEO on strategic and operational initiatives. Help identify bottlenecks and drive improvement projects across quoting, scheduling, purchasing, and customer communications. Attend key meetings and ensure follow-through on actions and priorities. Prepare summaries, data analysis, and presentations for decision-making. Learn the business metrics behind a precision manufacturing operation -- cost drivers, pricing, margin analysis, and production flow. Help manage the CEO's bandwidth by coordinating tasks, communications, email, and strategic projects.

Who You Are:

BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering (or related field). 2-5 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical project management. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication and follow-up habits. Entrepreneurial mindset: enjoys learning by doing, thrives on accountability, and wants exposure to leadership-level decision-making.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
