Job Description

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is recruiting for a Technical Writer for our client in Vestal, NY. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to create, edit, and maintain clear and accurate documentation for our products, processes, and systems. The ideal candidate can translate complex technical information into user-friendly content that supports both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities

• Developing simplified theory of operation and block diagrams for electrical, electronic, system networks, and /or mechanical equipment.
• Developing fault isolation and troubleshooting procedures for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
• Developing maintenance (repair, replacement) procedures.
• Working with graphic arts personnel in support of publication effort.
• Working with desktop publishing personnel in support of publication effort.
• Participation in project, department and/or customer program meetings and reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Hybrid work structure, working mostly remote with occasional visits to the office for meetings or events.
• Availability of secure and reliable internet connection for work from home activity.
• Superior communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience in a technical field, with excellent working knowledge of technical documentation, including manuals and training material.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
• Skilled with Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Access.
• Willingness to travel as needed is a must.

The estimated hourly range for this position is $18-25/hr, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
