Description

SAIC is seeking rising juniors or seniors to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) for the summer of 2026, GMASS has a Technical Writer Internship position available. These interns will be performing technical documentation support on a government radar system. The position under this job requisition will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Roles and responsibilities potentially include:

Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to document and update legacy hardware and software system's technical orders and engineering drawings Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents Learn to utilize Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Jira, and Confluence

Areas of Technical Interest:

Knowledge of drafting tools Knowledge of Technical Documentation Ability to interpret technical drawings Desire to cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

Pursuit of BA or BS in Technical Writing, English, Communications or other applicable degree program Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
