Technical Support & Low-Voltage Programming Specialist (Hybrid Role)

Full-Time | Hybrid (Work From Home + 1-2 Days in Office)

NOT a Cybersecurity Position

Security & Life Integrations is looking for a reliable and motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, helping customers remotely, and working hands-on with security and low-voltage equipment in the office.

We install and support

access control, security cameras, intercom/telephone entry systems, fire alarms, and intrusion alarms

for multi-tenant housing, churches, commercial buildings, and more. You'll be providing real-time support to customers and technicians, and helping with equipment programming and setup in-office.

What You'll Do

Provide remote tech support to customers and technicians (phone, email, remote sessions) Troubleshoot access control issues, camera connections, alarm system faults, NVR/DVR issues, and basic networking questions Program and configure access control panels, intercoms, cameras, and related equipment during office days Assist with creating/maintaining customer documentation and logging support cases Help test new products and prepare equipment for field installation Collaborate with sales/operations when needed to support ongoing projects

Preferred Experience

(We will train the right person, but experience helps.)

Technical support experience in

low-voltage/security systems

such as: Access control (ACS, card readers, telephone entry, video entry) Security cameras (IP cameras, NVRs) Alarm systems / intrusion panels Intercom or gate systems Experience with basic networking (IP addressing, port forwarding, connectivity troubleshooting) Familiarity with brands like Akuvox, Doorking, Linear, Dahua, Bosch, Honeywell, Qolsys, etc. is a plus Strong communication skills and ability to walk customers through troubleshooting steps Organizational skills for handling support tickets and documenting work

About the Schedule

Hybrid

: Work from home most of the week

1-2 days in our Raleigh office

for programming equipment, testing devices, and supporting in-person needs Occasional flexibility for special projects

This Role is NOT Cybersecurity

This is hands-on technical support for

physical security equipment

, not cybersecurity, ethical hacking, or IT security analysis.
