Job Summary:
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling products from leading-edge electronic and mechanical manufacturers to potential and existing customers. You will leverage your technical expertise to understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers. Your role is crucial in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development:
Identify and target potential customers within assigned territories or industries.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals and expand market share.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and features of our products.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or issues promptly and professionally.
Provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Technical Expertise:
Gain an understanding of the technical aspects of the products, including their applications, features, and benefits.
Assist customers in selecting the appropriate products based on their technical requirements and specifications.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
Market Research and Analysis:
Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
Gather and analyze market data to identify new opportunities and potential threats.
Provide feedback to the company on market demands and customer preferences.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to management, utilizing company tools.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and product development teams to align strategies and objectives.
Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and promote the company's products.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant certifications or technical training is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of technical products and their applications. Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively.
Sales Skills:
Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present technical information in a clear and engaging manner.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to address customer issues and provide effective solutions.
Travel:
Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
