- Field Service Engineer

Our growing company is looking to fill the position of Senior Field Service Engineer. To join our team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Travel to customer's facility to provide installation, troubleshooting maintenance and repair support on a variety of Modig equipment. Provide comprehensive in-person and/or remote training to our customers. Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues. Ensure proper documentation regarding machine issues, repairs, and installation; the Field Service Engineer will provide detailed feedback to management, distributors, and customers. Possess and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry, and all required information to support your role.

Job Qualifications:

A qualified candidate would have a minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical and electrical repair, maintenance, and programming within the Machine tool industry. Technical degree is preferred. Validated experience in the industry is acceptable. Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics are required. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are required. Experience with FANUC, Heidenhein, Linear Lasers, and Laser Tracker is valued. Experience in large CNC 5 axis gantries required. Experience with FANUC Robots is highly valued. Candidate must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job. Consistent travel is required. Candidate must pass a criminal background check and obtain security clearances. Ability to pass a drug test and willingness to work overtime as required.
