Technical Drawing Specialist & Production Designer

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a

Sign Production Designer with CAD and technical drawing expertise

to join our in-house design team. This role goes far beyond creating "pretty pictures." You'll be producing drawings that drive real production, meaning every line, every measurement, and every specification must be accurate. Your work will be the bridge between concept and construction -- helping our sales team win projects and ensuring our production team has the exact information they need to build with confidence.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate with sales staff to transform customer ideas into professional artwork and production-ready drawings. Create accurate scaled drawings and presentations for signage of all types, including illuminated electrical signs, freestanding monuments, vinyl graphics, and ADA plaques. Apply

CAD and technical drawing skills

to ensure precision, clean layouts, and correct specifications. Balance creativity with mechanical accuracy -- making sure every design not only looks great but also builds correctly. Maintain and adapt designs to established company presentation styles and standards. Contribute as a team player, assisting in other areas when needed (we value flexibility over strict silos).

What We're Looking For:

Proven ability in CAD or technical drawing software

(experience in CorelDRAW, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar tools is strongly preferred). Strong mechanical aptitude and a detail-oriented mindset -- someone who loves accuracy as much as creativity. Ability to think in terms of both design aesthetics and fabrication reality. Comfort working on PC platforms. A team-oriented attitude with the willingness to adapt, learn, and contribute across departments. Prior signage industry experience is a plus, but not required -- the right mindset and skill set matter most.
