Nonchalant is a luxury women's ready-to-wear brand based in Miami, known for its sensual yet structured aesthetic and elevated fit. We design wardrobe staples with intention -- refined tailoring, confident silhouettes, and meticulous attention to fabric and proportion.

Role Overview

We're looking for a

Technical Designer / Product Developer

with strong experience in

fit development and factory communication

. This person will work closely with our Creative Director to ensure all Nonchalant styles meet our high standard of fit, quality, and consistency across international production partners (China, Colombia, and Miami).

Responsibilities

Translate design sketches and concepts into

accurate tech packs and measurement specs.

Manage

fit samples, PP samples, and TOPs

-- tracking comments, photos, and measurements through each stage. Communicate daily with factories (China-based) on

fit approvals, pattern corrections, and production readiness.

Maintain a

Fit Library

and ensure all grading rules align with brand standards. Approve fabrics, trims, and construction details. Support the development of

new silhouettes

that remain true to the Nonchalant fit philosophy.

Requirements

3+ years in

technical design or product development

(preferably in contemporary or luxury womenswear). Deep understanding of

fit, patternmaking, and garment construction.

Experience communicating directly with

overseas factories

(China preferred). Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems (e.g., Techpacker or similar). Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple styles simultaneously. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Spanish is a plus.

Location

Remote or hybrid

(Miami-based preferred). Must be available for regular fit sessions and sample reviews.
