Technical Copywriter/Specifications Manager

As a Technical Copywriter, you will create clear, concise, and engaging user manuals, product specifications, and online content for our range of consumer electronics. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and marketing teams to ensure that our documentation meets the highest standards of quality and usability.

Key Responsibilities:

Write and edit user manuals, installation guides, and technical documentation for products from brands such as Monster, Black+Decker, Energizer, and Xtreme in categories such as home theater A/V, lighting, smart home, gaming, and more. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure accuracy of content. Create user-friendly online help documentation and FAQs. Develop product descriptions and marketing copy that highlight features and benefits. Conduct research to understand technical concepts and consumer needs. Ensure all documentation adheres to brand guidelines and industry standards. Review and revise content based on feedback from stakeholders and users. Write customer service scripts to help answer calls, emails, and online reviews.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field. Proven experience as a Technical Writer or Copywriter, preferably in the consumer electronics industry. Strong understanding of technology and ability to translate complex concepts into accessible language. A genuine curiosity about how things work--someone who enjoys pushing buttons and exploring products firsthand. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. A portfolio showcasing relevant writing samples is preferred.
