ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will be focused on planning, establishing and executing certain Technical Accounting Centers of Excellence (COEs). The activities under the Accounting Centers of Excellence would include, Derivatives, Bonus Accrual, Stock-based Compensation, Pension / OPEB Accounting, Multi-Employer Benefit Plans, Contingent Liabilities, and Tax Accounting. This critical role is to assure a collaborative and aligned understanding to our processes, conclusion and internal control over financial reporting.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Derivative Accounting, specifically: Derivative accounting policy, Accounting documentation of derivative agreements, Monthly flux analysis
  • Bonus Accounting, specifically: Overview of all bonus programs and measures, HR compensation data by program, Bonus calculations by Target, Minimum and Maximum, Review of actual bonus payout, Monthly flux analysis
  • Share-based Compensation Accounting, specifically: Coordinate / align with HR on grant dates and valuations, Document the key assumptions, such as TSR group, volatility, expected life, risk-free interest rates, dividend yield, forfeiture rates, etc., Administer share-based compensation accounting, Coordinate with the plan administrator on loading / administration of grants, monthly reporting, etc., Monthly flux analysis
  • Pension / OPEB Accounting, specifically: Coordinate / align with HR on employee benefit plans offered, Document the key assumptions, such as mortality rates, retirement age, discount rate, health care cost trend rate, etc., Administer pension / OPEB accounting, Coordinate with the plan administrator on loading / administration of plan, monthly reporting, etc.. Monthly flux analysis

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelors degree
Additional Education Preferred: Masters degree
Field of Study Preferred: Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Required Work Experience: 5-10 years of US GAAP experience
Required Training/Certifications: CPA preferred
Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (expert at Excel), Google Workspace
Travel Requirements: Less than 25%
