Experience:
Experience in health care managing severe and persistent mental health clients/service recipients is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The person holding this position performs duties in managing clients/service recipients while at the mental health center waiting for appointment, works under the supervision of the executive director of the mental health center and office manager, provides safety, comfort, and well-being of clients/service recipients at all times while they are at the mental health center.
The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
Job knowledge, procedure, and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and providing client care services. Understanding of standard techniques used in providing personal services for clients/service recipients, and in caring for equipment and supplies.
Other: Exhibits genuine interest in clients, practice patience and tact in dealing with clients: initiative and judgement in recognizing symptoms indicative of client's adverse reactions to treatment; willingness to perform a variety of simple repetitive tasks.
CLIENTELE TECHNICIAN JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions:
1) Ensure that all housing clients/service recipients are appropriately checked in with front office staff when they are entering the building.
2) Provide interactions and activities with clients/service recipients while at the center and foster self-respect and esteem by recognizing, accepting, and respecting those entrusted to his-her care.
3) Encourage and motivate clients/service recipients to participate in activities to promote activities of the mind while at the mental health center.
4) Assists clients/service recipient with scheduled smoke/drink breaks as outlined by specific housing schedules.
5) Monitors and orders snacks from each housing ED/office manager.
6) Monitors the clients/service recipients at all times while they are in the center preventing elopement.
7) Works with transportation by maintaining the printed copy of schedule and knowing which clients/service recipients are ready for transportation back to the houses upon completion of appointments.
8) Organizes and sanitizes the two front lobbies at the conclusion of each work day.
9) Sets up the back lobby for weekly staff meetings.
10) Ensure client/service recipient privacy, respect, and dignity.
11) Participate in in-service and/or staff meetings.
12) Detect, correct, and report to the office manager or executive director any unsafe condition in the mental health center that may result in bodily injury or fire.
13) Execute duties and responsibilities in conformance with established routines.
14) Assure physical and mental comfort, safety, and mental well-being of clients/service recipients.
15) Observe and report any symptoms, reactions, and changes in clients/service recipients.
16) Be aware of sterile procedure and avoid contamination.

Literate: The Mental Health Center Clientele Technician should possess emotional maturity, integrity, poise, and dignity; be able to withstand constant standing, walking, sitting, stooping, bending, stretching, and perform other related tasks.

Must have a genuine interest for the mentally ill. Patience and tact in dealing with clients/service recipients; some initiative and judgment in recognizing symptoms indicative or changes while at the center.

7. Ensures the books are properly summarized and ready for the corporate controller at the end of the month.

9. Maintains the service recipient's petty cash accounts and interest-bearing accounts.
