POSITION1:1 Teaching Assistant - Cyrus Peirce SchoolRESPONSIBILITIESUses Responsive Classroom language and models expectations.Implements modifications for curriculum and tasks as needed and provided by the teacher.Works with ONE identified student in accordance with IEP service delivery.Completes data collection regarding behaviors and academic progress as suggested by lead teacher.Implementation of QBS protocols and procedures (including help, prompt, wait); and physical management when needed for students who are unsafe.Present and/or reinforce learning concepts and lessons prepared by teachers, by adapting and reviewing material with a student one-to-one.Reinforce classroom routine and expectations to promote positive behaviors.Provide direct supervision to assigned student in class, in specials, between classes, during lunch and recess, and on field trips.Carry out therapeutic regimens, such as behavior modification and personal development programs, under the supervision of special education instructors, psychologists, or therapistsHelp with feeding and other basic care, including toileting.Attend staff meetings and serve on committees if and when required.
