Teacher AssistantFather John V. Doyle School Coventry, Rhode IslandPosition Overview: The Teacher Assistant supports the classroom teacher in fostering a faith-filled, nurturing, and engaging learning environment aligned with the mission of Father John V. Doyle School. The ideal candidate demonstrates a love of children, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit while assisting with academic, social, and spiritual growth in a Catholic school setting.Key Responsibilities: Support the lead teacher in daily classroom instruction, activities, and supervision.Assist with implementing lessons, grading, and preparing classroom materials.Provide individual or small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.Supervise students during recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior.Foster an atmosphere of respect, kindness, and Christian values consistent with the schools mission.Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students.Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development as required.Qualifications: High school diploma required; associates or bachelors degree preferred.Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.Commitment to Catholic education and the values of Father John V.
