Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that foster a love for learning and support childhood development milestones.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and productive learning environment.
Utilize classroom management techniques to ensure safety and discipline while encouraging student participation.
Incorporate specialized teaching strategies such as Montessori methods or early intervention techniques when applicable.
Assess student progress through standardized testing, observations, and formative assessments; adjust instruction accordingly.
Support children's emotional well-being and promote child welfare through nurturing interactions and behavior management.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and fellow educators to support student success and communicate progress effectively.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with school policies.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management strategies.
Background in early childhood education, special education, literacy education, or related fields is highly desirable.
Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing, and tutoring techniques.
Experience working with students with diverse needs including special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and developmental stages.
