Job Description

Puzzle Pieces Intervention Center implements effective and empirically based treatments that promote success and independence. We provide in-depth training and advisement for treatment by filling in the missing pieces for adults and children with and without special needs. We expand our services to assist individuals needing coaching in life, advisement, tutoring/remediation, gifted acceleration, behavioral therapy, social skills, and supports in achieving their life goals. We are also seeking to add on a micro-type schooling program.

The Educator/Learning Support Specialist:

Will provide educational, social, emotional, and behavioral services/sessions under the supervision of the Director.

Assists and delivers individualized treatment plan goals/objectives, creates interactive lessons and creates hands-on learning activities, provides behavioral instructions/plans, educational remediation or acceleration, social skill or play groups, life skills, curriculum development, and other multi-faceted instructional methodologies to consumers for clients with and without developmental disabilities. Conducts some sessions/services within the community setting on an as-needed basis.

Work Experience and Qualifications:

A degree in education/special education, psychology, social work, or a related field.

20+ hours per week with potential for close to full time.

Our work day shifts at various times, during the morning/mid-day, and we need specifically afterschool through 6 pm M-F, some occasional vendor events, some occasional volunteering, some support with camps and/or events which go until 8:00pm on rare occasions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
