Job Goal: Responsible for planning, adapting(modifying) instructional materials to implement instruction for a student identified for homebound instruction. The teacher is to provide access to the general education curriculum by adapting instruction on grade level standards. Homebound instruction for students with disabilities will include specially designed instruction to make progress toward IEP goals and benchmarks.
Job Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree with concentration in specified subject matter area.

• Standard or Professional Teaching Certification required in specified subject matter area and/or Special Education.
• Masters Degree and/or previous teaching experience preferred.

Essential Functions: * Works Educational Services staff to coordinate materials and instruction of homebound students.

• Meets with each assigned student on a regularly scheduled basis for the purpose of providing instruction. Students receive 3-5 hours of instruction per week respectively for elementary and middle-high school levels.
• Facilitates a positive and orderly environment for learning for the homebound student.
• Keeps, maintains, and files such reports and records as may be required, including attendance reports and payroll.
• Works cooperatively with the parents/guardians of homebound students to implement the child\xe2\x80\x99s instructional program.
• Works cooperatively with the building staff of homebound students to obtain schoolwork.
• Assumes responsibility for obtaining textbooks and other teaching materials necessary for homebound instruction through the procedures established.
• Attends meetings and trainings as requested.
• Ability to manage confidential information in a professional manner.
