Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and care to students, particularly those with diverse learning needs. This role is essential in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that all students receive the attention and resources they need to thrive.

Duties

Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities. Support students with special education needs, providing individualized attention and assistance. Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning atmosphere. Engage with children during lessons, encouraging participation and enthusiasm for learning. Supervise students at all times including during playtime, ensuring safety and promoting social interactions. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed. Provide care for infants, pre toddlers, toddlers, or preschool-aged children as required. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Skills

First aid certification is preferred to ensure student safety. Experience in special education or working with people with disabilities is highly valued. Background in early childhood education or childhood development is essential. Previous experience in preschool settings, daycare, or toddler care is essential. Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members. Experience working with students of various ages, including infants through preschoolers. Skills in caregiving, babysitting, or nannying can enhance the ability to connect with students. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive student interactions.
