Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the lead teacher in implementing educational activities, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. This role is essential in providing quality care and education to children, particularly in early childhood settings.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers and young children. Provide direct support to students during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and participating. Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning. Monitor children's behavior and assist with classroom management to promote positive interactions among students. Support individual students with special needs or those requiring additional assistance. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Skills

Experience in early childhood education is highly desirable. Strong ability to educate and engage young children through creative activities. Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial for ensuring student safety. Previous experience in babysitting or childcare settings is an asset. Excellent classroom management skills to maintain order and promote a positive learning atmosphere. A nurturing attitude towards caregiving, demonstrating patience and understanding when interacting with children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
