Job Description

School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for an in person third grade classroom teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The teacher would be responsible for all lessons aligned to the Archdiocesan curriculum. Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines. Provide grade appropriate instructional program.
• Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols. Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include arrival/dismissal, car line, recess, Cafeteria, etc.
• Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
• Establish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating electronic gradebook frequently.
• Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration.
• Integrate iPad and Smartboard technology effectively into a 21st Century classroom.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Degree in Elementary Education
• Current MSDE certification
• Minimum of three years of experience teaching preferred
• Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
• Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc.
• Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
• Teachers of religion must be Catholic. Catechetical certification and/or theology degree preferred.
