Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax law and several years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can utilize your accounting skills in various ways.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare individual and business tax returns

- Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation to determine relevant tax forms

- Analyze data to ensure all tax deductions and credits are claimed

- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times

- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role

- Strong knowledge of individual and business taxes, non-profit a plus

- Proficiency in using 10-key typing for data entry

- Familiarity with Quickbooks accounting software and Drake Tax a plus, but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.75 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
