Tax Content Developer Entry Pay Range: $34 - $39/hr Pay Range for Position: $34 - $49/hr

TaxAudit is looking for a knowledgeable, innovative, full-time Tax Content Developer to join our growing team. Our Learning and Development Department is a lean team built with exceptional employees who use their talents to help others develop strong skills and tax knowledge. We will be considering candidates who excel in sharing knowledge with others and exhibit a love for researching, analyzing, and writing about tax topics in a manner that helps others to learn. Above all, the ideal team member will exemplify our Core Values. In addition to submitting a resume, candidates are asked to submit a writing sample such as prior research, articles, or other materials they have written, either within TaxAudit or externally.
Key Objectives and Results:

As a successful Tax Content Developer, you will:


  • Author and review Continuing Education courses for tax professionals including:
o High-quality texts
o PowerPoint presentations
o Quiz and final exam questions in accordance with IRS and CTEC standards.
  • Research tax topics by analyzing applicable regulatory law and court decisions, applying them to research requests, and writing the interpretations and conclusions in standard memo format.
  • Write and review articles for publication in tax journals and blogs for the company website.
  • Be an engaging public speaker and comfortable with regularly presenting courses, both in live classroom and webinar formats before small and large audiences.
  • Convert recorded webinars into self-study Continuing Education courses.
  • Develop course materials in other formats as needed for professional educational presentations outside of TaxAudit, such as for other professional organizations.
  • Create and review learning materials that inspire and empower team members to work independently and achieve high-level results.
  • Maintain a proficient level of knowledge pertaining to systems and software being used internally by TaxAudit.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service skills, a team-based attitude, and a desire to collaborate.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Current EA, CPA, or Attorney license.
  • Strong background in individual federal tax law and issues, including the ability to read and understand the Code, Regulations, and court cases.
  • Strong tax knowledge in business tax law is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal capacities in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to listen well and gain credibility with others.
  • Strong computer skills: Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to effectively utilize tax software.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Ability to organize work and prioritize tasks and projects to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with team members and managers.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and move between a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and information.
  • Ability to reason intelligently and use sound judgment.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms, learning management systems, video editing, and web delivery tools, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IRS and CTEC education standards is a plus.
  • Some travel in-state required.
