Cup of Swords Tavern

is seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our team. We are a medieval and renaissance-themed establishment dedicated to providing outstanding service in a lively, immersive setting. Position Overview

This role requires bartending skills, the ability to stay organized under pressure, and a genuine interest in contributing to our themed atmosphere. Staff are expected to wear

period-appropriate attire

and interact courteously with guests to enhance their experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a full range of beverages, including beer, wine, mead, cider, and non-alcoholic options Deliver friendly, attentive, and efficient customer service Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area Accurately handle cash and card transactions Restock inventory, rotate products, and monitor supply levels Follow all alcohol service regulations, health guidelines, and safety standards Support the tavern's medieval/renaissance ambiance through appearance and professional demeanor

Qualifications

Bartending, barback, or barista experience preferred Solid knowledge of drink preparation, mixology basics, and responsible alcohol service Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and perform effectively during busy periods Must be

21+

Availability for evenings, weekends, and special events

Washington State Class 12 Mixology Permit (MAST Certification)

required

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for up to 8 hours Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (kegs, crates, etc.) Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lively setting

Costumes are mandatory.

Staff must wear medieval or renaissance-style attire while on duty

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 - 24.0 per week
