The North Country Hard Cider Tasting Room Manager oversees daily front-of-house operations, staff leadership, and guest experience while serving as a key communicator between ownership, production, and marketing teams. This role is responsible for driving sales, maintaining organization and safety standards, and representing the brand both on-site and at off-site events.Communication & Management
Act as the primary communicator between owners, Creative Marketing Director, tasting room staff, and production staff
Relay information to owners regarding repairs, major changes, or supply needs
Schedule and lead monthly meetings with tasting room staff
Educate staff on the importance of the business and role expectations
Maintain professionalism and alignment across all departments
Create and manage monthly front of house schedules
Hire, onboard, and train new employees
Train staff on safety procedures, including draft line cleaning
Assign responsibilities and ensure accountability across shifts
Front of House Operations & Guest Experience
Oversee daily FOH and tasting room operations
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Able to be on your feet for 8 hours
Ensure high-quality guest experiences and consistent service standards
Promote and sell products across all formats (tastes, flights, pours, cans, kegs, growlers)
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on flavor profiles to customers
Update and print tap menus and flight menus
Ensure staff remains productive during downtime (regular maintenance & cleaning tasks)
Inventory, Organization & Facilities Management
Maintain an organized walk-in cooler
Keep the utility closet clean, stocked, and orderly
Ensure merchandise shelves are labeled and organized
Order supplies for the tasting room, office, and bathrooms
Track snack inventory and replenish when necessary
Maintain the Keg Sales folder with all required documentation
Safety, Sanitation & Compliance
Learn and oversee safe draft line cleaning procedures
Train staff on proper gas line cleaning
Create and maintain a monthly draft line cleaning logAssign and track cleaning responsibilities during scheduled shiftsEnsure overall cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
Inventory Coordination & Production Communication
Communicate with production staff regarding keg and/or can needs
Coordinate logistics around keg accessibility and stock rotation
Ensure the tasting room is properly stocked for service
Marketing, Events & Community Engagement
Participate in brew festivals and off-site events
Manage setup and breakdown for festivals and events
Collaborate with the Creative Marketing Director on:
Food trucks
Workshops
Fitness classes
Promote the brand both on-site and off-site
Administrative & Systems Management
Learn and operate Square (POS) and Squarespace
Respond to messages from Square and emails related to events or reservations
Maintain organized records and documentation
Support event bookings and reservations
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
