We're looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused
O
nboarding Coordinator
to join our Talent Acquisition (TA) team. In this role, you'll play a key part in creating a smooth, compliant, and welcoming onboarding experience for new hires and internal transfers.
You'll coordinate and track all pre-employment requirements -- from background checks and I-9 verification to professional license validation and occupational health clearance -- ensuring everything is complete before a team member's first day. Working closely with Human Resources (HR), TA, Employee Health, and department leaders, you'll help maintain compliance, accuracy, and a positive candidate experience every step of the way.
This role is
remote
but requires
weekly on-site presence
at
The Toledo Hospital.
Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the hospital.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. High school diploma and 2 years directly related HR, Recruitment, or Onboarding experience may be considered
in lieu of a degree.
1-3 years of customer service experience in a high-volume environment.
Must reside within commuting distance to
Toledo Hospital
for weekly on-site work.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in HR, onboarding, or healthcare compliance preferred.
Working knowledge of employment eligibility verification (I-9/E-Verify), healthcare credentialing, and pre-employment health requirements.
Familiarity with HRIS/ATS platforms and document management systems.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple onboarding processes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
