What you'll do

Collaborate with customers to understand their garment needs and preferences, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process. Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to construct, alter, and repair garments to the highest standards. Measure clients accurately to ensure perfect fit and comfort in all finished products. Execute various sewing techniques including hemming, patching, and resizing while maintaining garment integrity. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available for efficient workflow. Keep up-to-date with fashion trends to provide informed recommendations to customers regarding styles and alterations. Perform basic math calculations for measurements, fabric requirements, and pricing estimates as needed.

Basic qualifications

Proven experience in tailoring (minimum two years of experience and more). Proficient in operating sewing machines and understanding garment construction principles.

Preferred qualifications

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality craftsmanship. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and pricing.
