We are seeking a

highly skilled and experienced tailor

to join our team at Ellie Belle, as our

Boutique & Tailoring Assistant

. The ideal candidate will have expertise in garment alterations, fittings, and customization, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and perfectly tailored clothing. This hybrid role blends front-of-house client interaction with behind-the-scenes tailoring support. You'll assist clients in styling sessions and fittings while supporting our Master Tailor with alterations and garment preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Boutique & Client Experience

Welcome clients, assist with appointments, and support styling and fitting sessions. Maintain boutique presentation standards -- steaming garments, resetting fitting rooms, and merchandising displays. Log client services and sales in POS. Handle garment check-in, pickup, and packaging for tailoring and bridal orders. Ensure each client enjoys a thoughtful, relaxed, and professional experience.Welcome clients, assist with appointments, and support styling and fitting sessions.

Tailoring & Alterations Support

Assist the Master Tailor during fittings by pinning, marking, or preparing garments. Perform basic sewing and alteration work (hemming, taking in/letting out seams, zippers, etc.). Press, steam, and prepare garments for final delivery. Keep tailoring supplies organized and stocked. Support bridal fittings, custom requests, and special projects as needed. Perform high-quality alterations and repairs on luxury garments, ensuring a flawless fit. Work with a variety of materials, including delicate fabrics such as silk, lace, leather, and high-end designer textiles. Ensure all alterations meet Ellie Belle's luxury standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

1-3 years' experience in retail, fashion, or alterations. Skilled in hand and machine sewing; comfort with delicate designer fabrics. Warm, professional demeanor and genuine interest in client care. Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and follow-through. Availability to work Tuesday-Saturday within boutique hours. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using industrial sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques.
