JOB SUMMARY


The TABLEAU DEVELOPER - CSS supports Connect Service Solutions' enterprise analytics initiatives by developing high-quality dashboards, preparing upstream datasets, and maintaining accurate and scalable reporting structures across operational, financial, and customer-facing data environments. This role plays a critical part in building a modern analytics foundation that support strategic decision-making and company growth. Responsibilities include Tableau dashboard development, SQL-based data preparation, performance optimization, documentation, and close partnership with data engineering and DBA resources as the analytics function matures. The Tableau Developer ensure that business stakeholders receive timely insightful and reliable analytics that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



1. TABLEAU DEVELOPMENT & VISUALIZATION: Develop, enhance, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and published data sources. Build Tableau data models that incorporate calculations, Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, parameters, and row-level security. Optimize workbooks and data visualizations for performance, usability, and scalability.

2. DATA PREPARATION & SQL TRANSFORMATIONS: Prepare and transform upstream data using SQL, including the creation of views, derived tables, and analytics-ready transformations. Monitor data quality across replicated systems and implement validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.

3. SYSTEM INTEGRATION & REPORTING SUPPORT: Work with Salesforce, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Microsoft 365, Skyvia, UKG, and other internal systems to support reporting and analytics needs. Translate business requirements into clearly defined metrics, logic, and dashboard specifications.

4. DOCUMENTATION & GOVERNANCE: Document dashboards, data logic, datasets, and dependencies to support long-term sustainability and organizational transparency. Maintain clear technical and functional documentation aligned with internal data governance standards.

5. AGILE COLLABORATION & TEAM SUPPORT: Participate in Agile and backlog-driven workflows, contributing to sprint prioritization, planning, and review sessions. Collaborate with data engineering and DBA resources as the analytics environment expands and matures, ensuring alignment and seamless integration of new capabilities.

6. PERFORMS OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


Knowledge tableau development best practices, data visualization principles, and dashboard performance optimization. Knowledge of SQL logic including joins, aggregations, window functions, and analytics-oriented data modeling. Knowledge of CRM, ERP, and transactional system data structures and reporting workflows. Knowledge of data quality assurance, data validation methods, and governance practices. Ability to translate business requirements into actionable dashboards and reporting structures. Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and complete projects with minimal oversight. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and effectively. Ability to troubleshoot data issues, identify risks, and implement corrective actions. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with development, finance, operations, and data teams. Skilled in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server publishing. Skilled in SQL development and analytics-focused data preparation. Skilled in requirements gathering and stakeholder communication. Skilled in documentation of dashboards, data logic, and dependencies. Skilled in Agile methodologies and sprint collaboration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, PLUS

Minimum of three (3) years of experience focused on Tableau development.




PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



Tableau Desktop Certified Associate or Tableau Desktop Certified Professional

Certification in data visualization or business intelligence (e.g., Tableau Data Analyst, Tableau Server Certified Associate)




SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS



Must pass a criminal background check
