Overview:
Under administrative direction, provides data governance leadership on large and very highly complex projects that are multi?platform and/or cross?enterprise. Collaborate with technical experts across data architecture, data modeling, and data quality, formulating and defining data governance scope and objectives for assigned initiatives. Devises or modifies procedures to improve data quality, metadata, and master data, considering platform capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications for data models, quality rules, and metadata standards, and collaborates with analysts, designers, and engineers to design, test, document, and maintain governed data solutions. Regularly instructs, directs, and checks the work of other team members. Demonstrates strong problem?solving ability, excellent communication, and strong technical skills; brings proven data engineering or BI development experience; understands the role of an Agile Product Owner and the importance of data governance; and communicates the value of trusted data through clear storytelling.
Responsibilities:
Lead and help implement data governance practices across data engineering teams and ensure consistency and adoption.
Promote and drive adoption of enterprise data product concepts, including domain ownership, data contracts, and service?level expectations.
Assist in defining and implementing data cataloging, metadata management, and master data management solutions; establish standards for business and technical metadata and data lineage.
Develop, monitor, and continuously improve enterprise data quality standards, including validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes; define data quality metrics and reporting.
Partner with business unit data teams and IT to deliver trusted, high?quality data for business intelligence, system integrations, and other use cases; ensure compatibility and interoperability of systems and data.
Promote cultural change by embedding data governance and data management best practices across enterprise data products; mentor and guide teams to increase data literacy and stewardship.
Qualifications:
College Degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems Preferred
Minimum 12 years' IT development experience or equivalent Preferred
Experience as Technical Lead and/or Project Architect on very complex multi-subsystem solution delivery projects Preferred
Effective verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with business partners and other IT staff
Problem solving skills sufficient to perform research and recommend a proposed solution to problems
Able to work on multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
Able to effectively direct and coordinate the work of other team members on a project without having HR management responsibility for them
Knowledge of computer programming languages as required for the system

Pay Transparency Verbiage: Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
