Job Description
NetCuras, Salt Lake's premier Managed Service Provider, is looking for a weekend Tier one NOC Technician to be part of our NOC Engineering team. Qualified candidates will not only possess required technical skills, but have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, as well as an understanding of customer service and support. The candidate must be able to work evening and weekends (4:00 p.m. till 12:00 a.m. Thu - Mon) and cover most Holidays. Resumes with help desk experience will move to the top of the pile. NetCuras is located in Bountiful UT.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Handle initial response to incoming calls, tickets and Event response for NetCuras customers. Manage customer incidents through internal ticketing system. Work with NOC Engineers for ticket assignment and ownership. Escalate/contact on call engineers during off hours when needed. Assist in tier one troubleshooting and network testing. Help maintain ticketing system by doing customer audits Complete shift report, and hand off to next NOC tech Handle tier one network changes for customers Perform other tasks as requested
Qualifications:
Pursuing a technical degree, or a relevant combination of education and experience preferred Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA) or equivalent preferred 1+ Year experience on help desk or technical support role Basic understanding of several different platforms of firewall configuration and maintenance preferred
