Gossner Foods is a growing family business with three locations across the western United States. With a combined 120 years of cheese making experience, state of the art equipment, and a team of dedicated employees; Gossner Foods is a leader in the dairy industry. What began as a strictly Swiss cheese plant, has expanded until now over 30 varieties of cheeses, and also UHT (Ultra High Temperature) shelf stable milk in a variety of flavors.

Description & Responsibilities

Receive raw Milk Wash Silo's and keep all equipment clean Perform Antibiotic testing Detailed documentation Perform tasks as assigned by Supervisors Insure milk haulers follow Company rules Insure safety of all in the Receiving bay Must responsible and self-motivated Able to complete tasks with little or no supervision Need to be organized Lift/handle 50lbs. Climb ladders on to milk trucks Responsible for correctly numbering and labeling the cheese blocks Responsible for sanitation in your area with a specific list of duties for cleanliness and sanitation. Conduct specific product checks as required on specific paperwork.. Other assigned tasks as needed. Opportunities to cross train to develop and grow within Gossners.

Requirements:

+ High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. + Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
+ Will be required to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in English.
+ The individual must be willing to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 1-2+ years experience in manufacturing environment or production.

Schedule:

Shift is 2:30 pm-midnight, Monday-Thursday one week, Sunday- Thursday next week.

Pay:

Training pay starts at $18.30/Hour with a potential to reach $21.80/Hour after meeting all skill levels. Weekend incentive pay an additional $2.50 per hour. Total compensation in year one is expected to be in the $40k-$50k range. Expected compensation beyond can exceed $60k. Total compensation includes pay for hours worked, PTO, bonuses, holiday pay, etc. Quarterly bonuses. Opportunity for Overtime
