We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming and aquatic safety. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Duties

Conduct swim instruction consistent with comprehensive training by LDSA management team. Teach various age groups, adapting techniques to meet the needs of each student. Assess students' swimming abilities and develop personalized lesson plans to enhance their skills. Promote water safety and educate students on proper swimming techniques and practices. Monitor students during lessons to ensure their safety and provide immediate assistance when needed. Communicate effectively with supervisor regarding progress and areas for improvement.

Skills

Lifeguard experience is desirable, ensuring safety protocols are followed during lessons. Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching, particularly in swimming or physical education, is beneficial. Familiarity with other sports such as basketball, cheerleading, or climbing can enhance instructional techniques. Strong behavior management skills to effectively engage with students of varying ages and abilities. Experience working with students in a childcare setting is advantageous for understanding diverse learning styles. Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with students and parents alike. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 - 20 per week
