Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in aquatic safety and instruction. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants. Your role will also involve engaging with students, managing behavior, and promoting water safety.

Duties

Instruct swim lessons to individuals and groups, adapting techniques to meet the needs of each student. Develop lesson plans that focus on skill progression and water safety. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their swimming abilities. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized teaching environment, including pool areas. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and any concerns. Provide support in behavior management strategies to create an inclusive learning atmosphere.

Requirements

Previous experience in childcare or working with students is preferred. Familiarity with aquatic activities such as lifeguarding or physical education is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse age groups. Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. A passion for teaching swimming and promoting water safety among participants of all ages.

Pay: $22.00 - $34.00 per hour
