Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sweeper to join our team. The Sweeper will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and safety in various environments, ensuring that all areas are free from debris and hazards. This position requires a proactive approach to cleaning and an ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operate sweeping equipment to clean designated areas, including parking lots, sidewalks, and other surfaces. Inspect areas for cleanliness and report any issues or hazards to management. Perform routine maintenance on sweeping equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collect and dispose of debris, litter, and other waste materials in accordance with company policies. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and equipment usage. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties. Collaborate with team members to achieve cleanliness goals efficiently.

Skills

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement. Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated time frames. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including backpack blower. Basic knowledge of power equipment required. Good physical strength and stamina, as the role requires standing, lifting, pulling and pushing; exerting 25-50 lbs of force often (lifting trash bags out of trash cans), 50-100 lbs occasionally, and 100 + lbs seldom. Ability to safely drive and operate vehicles during 3rd shift hours. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management. Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance roles is preferred. A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsible driving history; a DMV record check is required
