Here\'s your chance to make a difference with Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) software engineering team in Dallas/Grand Prairie, Texas. MFC is pursuing an effort that represents a revolutionary approach to ground area defense weapon systems in providing a multi-tiered mechanism for safeguarding a nation\'s assets.

In this role, you will experience all phases of software development ranging from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing and possibly customer site testing events.

Basic Qualifications:
*Must currently hold an active DOD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position*

- Strong experience with C/C++ with a focus on modern C++ features

- Experience working with Linux distributions

- Experience working with publisher/subscriber protocols (preferably RTI DDS)

- Must have a growth mindset with a strong ability to learn quickly and work in fast-paced environment

- Able and willing to work in a closed area on-site full-time

- Able and willing to support routine domestic travel for government exercises (~20% travel)
Desired Skills:
- C++ 11 or higher experience preferred

- CentOS 7 or higher experience is preferred

- Experience with VSCode, gcc, cmake

- Experience with Python programming and bash scripting

- Experience working with Agile methodologies, Git, GitLab
CI, and automated testing

- Experience with Data Distribution Services (DDS)

- Background in math/algorithms

- Solutions interface coding

- Background in coding for multiple thread and processes and protecting access.

- Knowledge of Visual Studios, Rhapsody and GNU
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
