Overview
ABOUT THE POSITION
The SVP, Corporate Transportation Market Leader drives VHB's growth and industry leadership across the transportation market. This role shapes and executes market strategies, strengthens VHB's brand, and partners with regional leadership to advance region-specific and firmwide priorities.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of market strategies that support long-term, sustainable growth.
  • Build strong relationships with senior market staff, key clients, and strategic partners.
  • Identify and pursue major business development opportunities; secure new work and expand existing relationships.
  • Guide promotional efforts, industry presence, and thought leadership; represent VHB at conferences and key events.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Market Leaders and regional teams to align initiatives with VHB's Strategic Plan.
  • Oversee annual market forecasts and develop 3-5 year strategic market plans.
  • Promote market awareness, support senior talent recruitment/retention, and strengthen teaming relationships.
  • Serve as Project Executive on select high-visibility projects.

  • Strong communicator and strategic thinker with proven leadership capability.
  • Highly collaborative, organized, creative, and trusted by colleagues and clients.
  • Strong technical proficiency and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years' experience in a transportation-related engineering, planning, or science discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Recognized external reputation with deep knowledge of clients and competitors within VHB's footprint.
