What you'll do

Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality through meticulous food handling practices Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi preparation area, adhering to food safety regulations Demonstrate exceptional knife skills in the precise preparation of fish and vegetables Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques and food safety standards Engage with guests to provide recommendations and enhance their dining experience Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing your culinary talents beyond the restaurant

Basic qualifications

Proven experience in a sushi chef role or similar culinary position within a fine dining environment

Preferred qualifications

Dietary department experience Dietary aide experience Menu planning expertise Strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques Comprehensive knowledge of food service operations and kitchen experience Familiarity with the food industry standards for safety and hygiene Experience in catering services is a plus
