We areseeking an Instrument Operator to join our Land Surveying Practice based in our Glastonbury, CT office.
Duties will include:
Holds level or stadia rod at designated points to assist in determining elevations and laying out of stakes for mapping, construction, easements, land and other surveys.
Familiar with and able to operate all of the instrumentation required for collection and distribution of survey data.
Cuts and clears brush from line of survey.
Marks points of measurement with elevation, station number or other identifying mark. Installs stakes as necessary.
Collect and record electronic and written field notes.
Transmits survey data to proper files in the computer network, and able to acquire the data for field use.
Provides field and construction observation support, as necessary.
Support of other technical staff.
Minimum of a high school / GED diploma. A.S. or B.S. degree in applicable field, such as Surveying Technology, is encouraged.
1+ years of relevant land surveying experience preferred.
GPS, Data collector, Total Station experience is preferred.
CAD experience / MicroStation experience preferred.
