Responsibilities



Conduct land surveys by utilizing GPS, total stations, 3D scanners, and other surveying tools to gather accurate spatial data. Perform utility locating to identify underground infrastructure and prevent project delays or hazards. Collect field data through precise measurements, including trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math principles to ensure accuracy. Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) like ArcGIS for spatial data analysis and mapping purposes. Support land surveying projects by setting up survey stations, establishing benchmarks, and maintaining data integrity throughout the process. Collaborate with project teams on construction schematics and site layouts to ensure designs align with real-world conditions. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport equipment or materials safely across job sites. Maintain meticulous records of survey data, field notes, sketches, and reports for project documentation and future reference. Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as hand tools and survey instruments to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements



Demonstrated knowledge of land surveying principles including GPS technology, data collection techniques, and schematics creation. Strong understanding of trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and math fundamentals essential for precise measurements. Familiarity with utility locating methods to identify underground utilities safely before excavation or construction begins. Excellent hand tool skills for setup and maintenance of survey equipment on-site. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
Pay: $18.50 - $28.57 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
