Travel CVOR Technologist
in Bismarck, ND. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-acuity surgical service line performing open heart, thoracic, vascular, and advanced robotic cases. Ideal for techs who thrive in fast-paced environments, want to sharpen their CVOR skills, and enjoy a strong team culture.

Roles & Responsibilities
Scrub for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries including CABG, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, thoracotomies, ECMO, AAA, carotids, robotic procedures, and more.
Prepare CVOR rooms and equipment including Stryker towers and specialty instruments for complex cases.
Maintain sterile technique and assist surgeons with precision and technical expertise.
Cross-train and float to general OR specialties as needed (second scrub).
Float as a 1:1 sitter on the floor when CVOR volumes are low.
Collaborate with charge nurses, surgeons, anesthesiology, and OR staff to ensure safe patient care.
Participate in weeknight and weekend call rotations (15-minute response time).
Support case prep starting as early as 6 AM for open-heart procedures.
Complete required documentation using EPIC.
Qualifications
Minimum
2 years of CVOR experience
(open heart required).
Must be able to
first scrub
CV cases.
BLS required.
CST or NCCT Certification + ND UAP required.
Must be willing to cross-train into general OR and float as a sitter when needed.
Education
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-acuity cases.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Comfort with EPIC charting.
Adaptability to fluctuating surgical volumes and rotating shifts.
