Job Description

The Surgical Services Aide will perform various direct patient care duties in the endoscopy suites under the supervision of a physician, including:

Preparing patients for GI procedures. Preparing the medical instruments and equipment used during the endoscopic procedures. Maintaining clean endoscopy suites by setting up rooms, cleaning instruments and maintaining GI equipment. Providing assistance removing polyps and taking biopsies. Disinfecting the endoscopes and other equipment before each procedure and storing them appropriately each day. High School diploma or GED preferred Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification obtained within 2 years of hire BLS preferred Nurse Aide certification preferred
