Hours:

Monday - Friday 7:20 AM - 5:00 PM

Optional Saturday hours paid at time and a half.

Description:

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and hard-working surgical assistant to join our growing clinic. We would love someone who can multi-task and who will jump in and help wherever is needed. Must provide courteous and friendly experience to all our patients. We perform many vasectomy reversals and treatments for Peyronie's disease (a condition that causes a bend in the penis due to scar tissue plaques that form in the connective tissue), so it is important to be comfortable with these conditions.

Qualifications:

Good/kind personality (most important).

CNA, MA or previous surgical assisting experience preferred but not required.

Willingness to commit to at least 1 year (ideally looking for a potential long-term hire).

Be detail-oriented and a self-starter with a friendly personality.

Work well as a team member.

Be able to contribute to a positive work environment.

High attention to detail.

Effective communication skills.

Willingness to learn.

Ability to correctly respond to orders.

Be caring and helpful to all patients.

Preferred to have 24 semester hours of laboratory technology courses or 24 hours of science course. If you don't have these qualifications you will have to complete a 3 month on the job laboratory training course.

Responsibilities:

Assist the providers during surgery and other medical procedures.

Perform penile injections.

Process semen analyses.

Assemble and monitor all tools during surgery.

Clean and sterilization of all medical devices and tools.

Set up surgical suites.

Clean surgical suites after surgery.

Communicate with the patients before surgery going over post-op notes and instructions.

Maintain patient records.

Stocking office supplies.

Light cleaning of the office.

Salary and Benefits:

$20.00/hour with semi-annual raises

Paid time off (4 weeks/year)

We currently do not offer other benefits at this time like medical, dental, and vision.
