Schedule and co-ordinate surgery procedures between patient, physician and hospitals Responsible for monitoring and maintaining and releasing block time. Discuss with patient pre operative and post operative instructions Coordinate with implant sales representatives devices for surgeries Ensure patient has proper Durable Medical Equipment for surgery Obtain all authorizations for surgeries and procedures/injections Check patient insurance benefits on all procedures Ensures that the hospital has all the required paperwork related to surgery including the patient authorization, MD orders, H&P, patient insurance cards, demographic data, and all other related data Schedule MRI's/CT Scan Able to anticipate needs before they become critical.
