Job Description

This is a remote position with occasional travel required. All candidates must be licensed and based in one of the following states: Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Mississippi, or Oklahoma.
Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an Associate with at least 2 years of experience to join its Fidelity, Surety & Coverage business unit. This position will support the surety and construction team based in Collin County, TX , and will focus on litigation in state and federal courts, as well as counseling, contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
Key Qualifications:
Active Texas license or eligibility for admission via UBE
Strong academic credentials and exceptional writing and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with attorneys, clients, and consultants
Preferred Experience:
Legal or practical background in the construction industry
Experience handling construction disputes, mechanics liens, or drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts and documents
