Job Overview

This position is responsible for assisting severely emotionally disturbed adults in obtaining substantial gainful employment and/or apply for Social Security benefits.

Responsibilities

Assist clients in preparing for, obtaining and maintaining community based, competitive, integrated employment Provide emergency vocation crisis intervention services Conduct on and off-site job coaching Assist in the preparation of applications, resume writing, teaches and practices interview skills with the client. Advocate for reasonable accommodations as needed. Stay informed of current local job market Collaborate with the Social Security Administration to ensure client maintains/receives benefits Accurately complete all required documentation including client data, progress notes and service specific information within required timeframe for completion

Required Qualifications

Background void of issues related to abuse or neglect Valid Kansas Driver's license with favorable record Bachelor's degree in psychology. social work, or related area or 4 years of equivalent work experience.

Desired Qualifications

Working knowledge of social service resources Knowledge of general recovery concepts Experience working with persons diagnosed with a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.56 - $25.96 per hour
